In the darkest recesses of the York punk scene, Rotting Monarchs evolved out of the slime with
one intention. To write noisy, hardcore punk from the heart. Influenced by the obvious pioneers of
timeless hardcore, with a touch of Yorkshire, the resulting sound is often sludgy, occasionally
catchy and always brimming with fury.
